Origins of the castle go back to the 13th century, but during Hussite wars it was destroyed. Building up the castle in today's appearance started in the 17th century. In the garden there is system of water canals in the shape of the Neptune's trident. The castle is fully restored and has many outbuildings including barns and an observatory. The castle is set in 30 hectares of French gardens and deer park in the lovely historical region of Moravia in the western most part of the Carpathian Mountains.
