Cerralvo Island   Private Islands
This uninhabited, privately owned island is located off the east coast of Baja in the Sea of Cortez. It is approximately 60 miles east of the city of La Paz. Cerralvo Island is 16 miles long, with an area of approximately 35,000 acres (14,164 hectares). Like most of the Baja peninsula it consists of arid desert vegetation and habitat. The island is surrounded by abundant sea life and big game fishing is possible. Development will require a power generating plant and desalination plant for drinking water.

The origins of the Hacienda go back to 1567, when a Spaniard named Diego Martin received land and troops from the Spanish Crown to begin construction, located northeast of the city of what is now called Dolores Hidalgo. The history of the Hacienda reads like a romantic mystery novel. The more we learn, the more we are intrigued. It is filled with stories of passion, vengeance, hidden treasure, secret tunnels, murder, love and betrayal. It has housed the likes of Father Miguel Hidalgo, who hid his weapons here with the consent of Count Canal before the Independence War from Spain. The hacienda is now a weekly vacation rental and there is a lucrative market in destination weddings.

The original Jacal de San Vicente, dating from the late 1600's, was part of the agricultural enterprise and expansive land holdings of the Grand Hacienda Solis when it was constructed for A. Solis, the historian for Hernan Cortez. Set on a hilltop the hacienda is in seven hectares with mountains in the distance. There is a main hacienda, a 17th century pavilion which is now used as the main entertainment area. Large swimming pool & Jacuzzi. Chapel, guest house and managers quarters.

Built in 1529 by order of Hernan Cortes, Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas is situated 120 km from Mexico city and is the most stunning hacienda and beautifully preserved and restored. There are 21 rooms, two presidential suites with swimming pool, five master suites, five junior suites, two suites and seven standard rooms, 25% have air conditioning and 90% have Jacuzzi telephone. There are two rooms under construction a Grand Master with 90 m2 private patio and master suite of 55m2. Fully equipped industrial kitchen of 150 m2, original kitchen dating from the XVII century and restaurant l Ingenio with seating for 80 people. Events rooms fully equipped for up to 400 people. Convention area of 1,800 m2, laundry room, hot tub/spa and wet bar. The hacienda is set in 223,000 m2 of land, 133,000 m2 are cultivated with sugar cane etc,65,000 m2 of land with gardens and 25,000 m2 orchards and palm trees. There is a tennis court, swimming pool, satellite dish, fitness centre, landscaped gardens. 10 horse stalls and garage.

Rancho Antiguo de la Cantera is a colonial-era ranch dating back over 400 years in an area of exclusive country estates. The main structure has two bedrooms, one of these being a former historical chapel, two bathrooms, two fireplaces, double height dining/living room, with access to stone paved terraces with magical vistas of the Rio Laja Valley. There is also a partly restored old ranch house that could be converted to guest facilities or staff quarters. The ranch consists of 20 hectares approximately 50 acres all fenced. It is in a unique micro-climate of milder weather in the Colinas surrounding San Miguel.
