Luxury camping-style accommodation in one of the seven luxury tented. Each luxury en-suite tent sleeps two. Four of the luxury tents are located within walking distance of the Lodge. Three of the luxury tents, 5km from the Lodge have their own braai facilities.

The panoramic views and savannah grassland surround the luxury en-suite tents and offer you private viewings of animals gathering to drink from the clearly visible waterhole.

The camp site offers sleeping facilities for 18 guests. Campers can make use of a large thatched lapa with a rustic bush kitchen, as well as a large boma with ablution facilities with hot water and showers. Electricity power points are available

Together with the natural surroundings supporting the bird life and game species of Central Kalahari, a number of man-made waterholes have been built to supply a more permanent source of water in the area.

Cheetah, brown hyena, leopard, lions, wild dogs and many antelope species visit the waterholes. Owls, Bateleur eagles, Lappet-faced vulture, white backed vultures as well as Secretary birds are among the bird species to be spotted in the surroundings.

The Sunken Hide site provides basic comfortable sleep over facilities. Ideal for stunning photographic opportunities. The panoramic views and savannah grassland surround the hide and offer you private viewings of animals gathering to drink from the clearly visible waterhole.

In an attempt to preserve Indigenous San hunter/gatherer tribes in the Kalahari, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve situated in the middle of Botswana was born in 1961. The game reserve, which is the second biggest in the world, was to provide a sanctuary for the Basarwa or San tribe who are commonly referred to as Bushmen.

Due to the decision to endeavour to protect the San lifestyle from being destroyed by influences of the outside world, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve was closed for approximately 30 years. From the 1980’s the number of visitors to the park was controlled.

Sadly however the San tribes who have lived in Central Kalahari for thousands of years began living in settlements within the southern half of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and changed their unique lifestyle.

Wildlife in the northern grassland landscapes are usually sparse but after the short lived summer rains, the landscape becomes alive with large herds of springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, hartebeest, giraffe and eland enjoying the new grazing.

Travelling through this untouched wilderness with such variety and unspoiled scenery one feels as if there is no end to this piece of Africa.
