Manuhangi atoll has a circumference of about 11 kms fringed with a reef of around 60 metres width with a surface area of more than 150 hectares plus the surface of the lagoon and reef.

The island is unique in the whole of French Polynesia and has several houses with permanent structures, cisterns, a shed and a chapel, ample water supply from natural wells and will need electricity and gas.

Part of the land is planted with coconut palms, miki-miki and fara and the fauna mainly consists of coconut palm crabs and many species of birds.

Situated approx 100 km away from Hao four hours by boat where there is a post office and other public services, the nearest islands are Paraoa 52 kms to the west and Nengonengo 68 km to the SE although there are a number of small islets in the vicinity.

Hao which will soon be given "duty free port" status by the French Polynesia Government and will become the centre of development in the South Pacific making Manuhangi a first rate investment to start a new business as a black pearl farm, tourism, phosphate mining or a secluded, private hideaway.

Manuhangi has been practically uninhabited for years and years and the owners wish to preserve a last natural area. Now and then a few families come and stay at the time of the copra crop. Because it remained protected and unexploited for so long it is one of the last atolls to own such a tremendous potential of exploitation as a pearl oyster farm with exceptional quality of water.

Manuhangi is not just a piece of rock but a full complete island written on the map of the South Pacific rim which you can fully own.

It is protected land which the old Poumotu(Tuamotu inhabitants) used to call "Manu Hagi", which means the "Loving Bird" and is a paradise for all sorts of birds which has been practically uninhabited for years and years.

The island has a fascinating history contact us for further information and the price.
