Okampu Ranch is situated in Okahandja district and has 5,013 hectares of land with over a thousand game.
The farmstead is centrally located and is very generously designed. The main dwelling dates from 1895 and is a real mansion with a castle-like character. It is very spacious, attractively laid out and surrounded by huge trees.
The guest tract consists of 5 guest rooms each with en-suite bathrooms. 4 guest bungalows each with en-suite bathroom. Dining room. Bar with lounge for guests and fireplace.
Thatched lapa with open air lounge, dining area with large dining table seating 18 persons and barbecue/braai and Pizza oven. Pool bar. Lookout tower building with thatched roof. Upstairs tract for dining and relaxing with a view and downstairs lounge.
Swimming Pool & Jacuzzi. Golf putting and chipping range. Large beautiful computer controlled garden.
Large covered abattoir and trophy preparation facility. Lock-up garages and workshop. Two walk-in cool rooms. Six workers houses. Open Car port. Volkswagen microbus and 3 equipped hunting vehicles.
Electricity is 3-phase supplied by Nampower with the power line being the property of Okamapu. Landing strip: 2000m in good condition. There are five boreholes, three equipped with submersible pumps, two by windmills. A natural pan about a kilometre from the homestead holds permanent water.
The farm has good game, with well over one thousand animals in both the open areas and the game fenced section. In the open area oryx, kudu, red hartebeest and warthog is plentiful as well as the smaller species of steenbuck and duiker. Game numbers are unknown. Cheetah is also found here.
All fences are in excellent condition. There is a trunk road traversing the property from East to West. This road acts as a cattle management corridor as well as a fire break. South of the road is a 2000 hectare game camp enclosed by a 2,4m high 18-strand fence accommodating high value game species. The 3000 hectare north of the road is enclosed by a 1,2m high stock-proof fence, allowing plains game to migrate. This area is divided into 8 camps allowing for stock farming.
The property is sold as a going concern, including furniture, vehicles etc.
Situated 150 km north east of Windhoek, 110 km from Hosea Kutako International Airport with excellent access by a tarred and surfaced road right up to the farm gate.
