Kuksu Manor dates back to 1530 and has a very interesting and eventful history. After five years of restoration the manor is once again available for the most discerning purchaser to acquire and enjoy. The Manor has been declared a national cultural monument.
The Manor House was built on the banks of a river and a dam was built on the river to provide a sufficient water supply for the mill. The atmosphere is unforgettable and feels as though time has stopped its pace here for you to feel the spirits of many centuries. The Manor House is still majestically mirrored in the waters of the river.
The body of the building, with two additional wings, is a typical country house. Two floors of the building can be seen from outside, but from the inner courtyard, oddly, only one floor can be seen, lending a unique character to the building that is not found anywhere else.
Each of the rooms has its own story to tell about the former owners and dwellers, and of the changing tastes of the past centuries. The aura of the old Manor House will surround you in the comfortable guest rooms where you will find gorgeous carpets, sparkling chandeliers, antique furniture, paintings, frescoes and magnificent window decorations.
The Great Hall is completely Biedermeyer style whilst the ladies boudoir is furnished with mahogany furniture in Russian Imperial style. The Hunting and/or dining room is furnished in historic and the Cognac room is truly a man's opulent room with gilded rococo furniture and there is also a closed-in terrace.
Outside is a garden cottage, main park and the inner court on the edge of the lake.
