Welcome to the only village set among a lush and flourishing tropical garden leading onto the white sandy beach south of Dar es Salaam.

Kijiji means village in Swahili and it is truly the friendly atmosphere that the Swiss-Tanzanian owners wished to create in their resort since 2007.

The resort has a total of sixteen rooms in four chalets, nine cabins and three bungalow-cottages completely built with ecological local material such as "makuti" wood.

The typical Tanzanian style lodgings called bandas are equipped with handcrafted furniture and Swahili fabrics. Each banda is composed of a terrace with table and chairs, a cosy double bedroom and a bathroom with toilet and shower facilities.

Located 5km from the Kigamboni ferry it is an ideal hub to explore the southern islands, Zanzibar or Mikumi National Park while providing a peaceful retreat. The location is also perfect if you would like both at the same time do business in Dar es Salaam and relax by the Indian Ocean on the weekdays.

At the weekend, the resort becomes a lively and friendly place where hotel guests meet the locals, sipping a cocktail at the swimming pool or sharing a dance on the sand at Les Voiles Beach Bar.

The Twilight Restaurant offers an amazing scenic ocean view, while serving the best local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Les Voiles Beach Bar welcomes you straight on the beach and offers a great choice of cocktails and bar food.

The reception is open 24 hours and there is a Conference Center for meetings etc. The property is constantly kept day and night by Masai guards. There is a large car parking at your own risk and Wifi available for free in the restaurant area.

The swimming pool and the 3'000 sqm private beach invite you to relax under the shadow of the amazing palm trees. The very special S-shape design of the swimming pool with deep and shallow areas will satisfy all kind of swimmers. The children have a lot of fun in the tunnel, the waterfall and the paddling pool!

The 7,000 m2 wide tropical garden is a real entertainment in itself and it invites you to get voluntarily lost in the resort. The smell of the Queen of the Night will enhance your dinner. The village is set among a lush, abundant, flourishing and grassy tropical garden leading onto the white sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean.

Superior Cottages are composed of terrace, living room, large bedroom and bathroom with toilet and Jacuzzi/shower facilities. Facing the tropical garden and swimming pool.

The Deluxe Cottages are composed of terrace, living room, large bedroom and a bathroom with toilet and Jacuzzi bath/shower facilities.

The Executive Family Cottage faces the tropical garden and swimming and has terrace, seating area, private entrance, shower, toilet, bathroom, outdoor dining area with furniture.
