Facing the calm Rio di Santa Fosca, in the heart of Cannaregio, the palace is located in a privileged position as it is central and yet off the majority of tourist paths.

It is a luxurious two storey palace, 800 m2, with 16 bedrooms with rare refinement, 16 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a large hall with open beam ceilings, antique furnishings and charming details. A vast, harmonious staircase leads to the upper floors of the palace.

The 16 bedrooms of the palace are spectacularly elegant and sumptuous. Set among original frescoes, exposed beams, parquet flooring and traditional Venetian terraces. All are excellent and equipped with the highest quality comforts. The bathrooms are coordinated with the style and refinement of the bedrooms: with a shower or hydro-massage bath.

The building is the ancient residence of Gabriele Vendramin, a Venetian nobleman and refined intellectual who lived during the first half of the sixteenth-century. He was distinguished for his cultural intellect and as a patron of the arts in Venice during that period.

He filled his home with paintings by Giorgione, including the famous Tempest, today at the Gallerie delle Accademia, and works by Tiziano (Gabriele was a client and friend to both). The palace is being sold with the furniture.

It is thirty meters from Strada Nova, one of the main pedestrian arteries of the city. The area is picturesque and lively with lots of shops and Bacari (typical Venetian restaurants) and the location of a colourful local market.

A fifteen minute walk along Strada Nova takes you to Rialto Bridge, from the characteristic structure that gathers together the oldest goldsmiths in Venice. Just 5 minutes further, crossing Mercerie, you reach the alleys full of Italian and international designer boutiques and then you arrive to the splendid St. Mark's Square. Just a stroll from Cae Vendramin di Santa Fosca is located the Venice Casino.
