This magnificent and historic castle was built around 1000 as a watch tower at a height of 168 meters above sea level by the Adimari, a noble Florentine family.
Completely restored maintaining its original charm with some floors and windows of the time. In 1500 the tower was enlarged with wings built flush with the facade taking virtually its current appearance.
The property is on two floors with a total of 1,000 m2 in addition to 240 m2 between porticoes, loggia and terrace/garden. Beneath the walls is a floor of 60 m2 where kitchen, bedroom, study and two bathrooms are, in addition to over 160 m2 of cellars, garage and storage rooms.
An ancient chapel consecrated to Saint Lucy stands outside the castle door.
The property looks out on a large park and a formal Italian garden, enclosed by its original walls encircling it and the back forming a terrace with a crenellated parapet behind which stands the turret, of 120 m2.
The castle, including the church, is surrounded by a thick forest of cypress trees and oaks that guarantee a discreet privacy. Outside the walls surrounding the property is situated the residence of the caretaker of about 100 square metres. The whole is enriched by 8 hectares of land.
Situated 14 km from Florence, 68 km from Siena and 120 km from the beach at Versilia.
