This prestigious 340 acre ranch, nestled into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada at the western boundary of the Sequoia National Park, is one of the premier scenic properties west of the Rockies.

Its gently rolling terrain is primarily grassland and oak, with many large manzanita, buckeye and sycamore; the sycamore inhabit shaded ravines that follow creeks and stream-beds. The ranch provides unparalleled beauty and privacy as it is entirely fenced with two sides bounded by BLM and Sequoia National Park lands.

The main fork of the Kaweah river runs through the property and roughly traces the third side up to the highway and frontage on the river is over half a mile with several swimming holes, including one with a white sand beach, a sheer rock cliff and a large deep pool with a slight current.

On the upper part of the property a thirty foot solid rock waterfall cascades into a small pool at its base before running downstream into the Kaweah River. During spring run off the river is mostly white water with well known class 3 & 4 rapids.

Well maintained gravel roads provide access to several superb building sites most of which have un-obstructed views of the famous Moro Rock and the high snow capped peaks along the Western Divide. Alta Peak at nearly 11,000 feet figures prominently in this sweeping and peerless panorama.

One building site perhaps the best of them all, has a well and has been prepared for the underground electrical service. There are two other wells on the ranch one of them very productive at over 200 gallons per minute. A small but elegant cabin is situated near this powerful well and in addition there are two ponds have been created one of which is fed by water diverted from a Southern California Edison flume that passes through the property, the other of which is fed by natural runoff.

The ranch includes a covered workshop and equipment storage facility well removed from the building sites. Two tractors a Case 580k backhoe and a track driven Allis Chalmers HD6, a 9 cubic foot mobile cement mixer and a 30 gallon towed spray unit stay with the ranch ownership transfers.

The Double Eagle Ranch has been preserved for perpetuity by a conservation easement which nevertheless allows the construction of three residences and accompanying outbuildings.

The ranch is centrally located for a retreat and is only three hours from both L.A and Bay area regions and airport access is also available in nearby Wood-lake and Visalia.
Since the Kaweah was the historic home of the Yokut and Wukchumni tribes, centuries old acorn grinding holes are found in several locations across the ranch, but mainly in large flat solid granite outcrops and boulders along the rive's edge. Wildlife abounds; nearly every species indigenous to the Sierra foothills can be found here.
