The village is privately owned and has been abandoned since 1974. Set in a natural environment of stunning scenery and containing an abundance of nature and wildlife the village is a perfect location for an Eco/residential tourism resort or biological and organic agriculture.
Located within the National Park Peneda Geres the land has a master-plan of over 30,000 m2 and a number of buildings/houses for possible renovation, several watermills, Celtic paths, Roman road, several springs, waterfalls, oak forest, vegetables, fruit etc. Ancient chestnut groves, mining source, threshing barn, hayloft, canastro, fountain and chapel.
In total there are 66 Hectares of land, 3,18 acres of building land, foraging grounds, vegetables and pasture. The village is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of hectares of nature & park lands. Building for 47 chalets, approved for village tourism with the construction of 20 houses, has convenience store, restaurant and service area
The village is located at Serra do Barroso, Northern Portugal it is situated on the edge of Geres National Park. Situated between the municipalities of Montalegre and Boticas.
